400 school children help the climate by planting trees

 On Wednesday December 9, 10:30, 400 children gather at the Landskabstræet in Kongelunden, Amager. The many trees are planted in a formation, which from above resembles a tree with 52 leaves that will be seen by visitors arriving to Copenhagen Airport. The tree planting event is the culmination on the Replant the Planet campaign where more than 35,000 Danish school children from over 300 schools have planted 100000 trees. The campaign is coordinated by the ‘Skoven i Skolen’ or ‘Learning in Forests’and it is a collaboration between 20 partners, including the Danish Ministry of the Environment.
When and where: The arrangement is outdoors at the Landskabstræet, Frieslandsvej 120-150, 2791 Dragør (see map) 10:30-12:00 400 children plant 2000 trees in a formation, which from above resembles a tree with 52 leaves.
